The Natural Habitat of the Slimes is a romp through the wonders of nature, following the story of two highly territorial creatures as they fight for supremacy in the region

The player acts as a Green Slime trying to spread their nature and claim the territory, but there is a Purple Slime also trying to lay claim. With the action cards available, they must use their wits to overtake their opponent and spread over the whole available map, or knock out their opponent when they are vulnerable.

(Currently Only Local Multiplayer, Single Player Coming Soon)

How To Play

Welcome to the Natural Habitat of the Slimes! Here is a quick breakdown of the rules.

Introduction – How To Play

The goal of the game is to spread your color across the entire board or knock out the other player first. Spreading to a space is easy enough, but you can add up to 5 levels to fortify your owned spaces on the board.

Tiles at various levels of spread

You can attack the other player directly, but they will only take damage if they are in a space where you've spread your color. You'll know when they are getting weak as they turn gray.

Vulnerable Green Slime on a Purple Space

Each turn starts with 5 cards in hand. Any amount of cards can be played in your turn, and the remaining cards will be saved for the next round.

The Various Cards

Movement Cards add the specified number of moves to a persistent pool that you can draw from at any time. It’s recommended you start your turn with all your move cards to know how much wiggle room you have for strategy.

Movement Cards

The board has Mountains and Water tiles as well. These tiles cost 2 move points to get across, if you don't have enough points you can't traverse them. However, they are a safe haven from your opponent's attacks.

Water and Mountain Tiles

Push Cards spread one point to the specified number of spaces directly in front of your character.

Before Push Card

After Push Card

Shoot Line Cards are less common and spread one point to all spaces in a horizontal or vertical line across the board.

Before Line Shoot Card

After Line Shoot Card

Blast Cards are rare and spread points to all spaces in a 4 space radius around the player. Adding up to 4 points to the closest space. These are best saved for attacking the other player at the right opportunity.

Before BlastAfter Blast

Spread Cards are the most rare and spread 1 additional point to all spaces already owned by the player. Best saved for when you have many spaces on the board.

Before Spread CardAfter Spread Card

If you can succeed in taking all the spaces or striking your opponent for 20 points, you win!

Victory!

Good luck!

Greatly appreciate the help! Looking into recreating the problem right now. It's working on my end, so I'm sharing with friends to see what they get.

Hi, it doesnt work in firefox

Thank you for letting me know! I was worried about that. Any particular error or just not loading?

It's also available as an exe, if it'll help until I get this fixed.

Sorry, I see what you're saying. I've now re-uploaded it with the PCK embedded. Give that a go when you get the chance. Thank you!
